Welcome to Northern Youth Abroad!

Our program enables youth aged 15 to 22 living in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories to acquire professional skills and training, hands on work experience, and high school credits through a cross cultural work and learning experience in southern Canada and abroad.

Northern Youth Abroad seeks to foster cross-cultural awareness, individual career goals, and international citizenship in Northern youth. We promote leadership development, healthy self-confidence and self-esteem by providing life-changing experiences.

Northern Youth Abroad is a registered not-for-profit charitable organization (Registered Charity #86530 5791 RR0001). If you would like to make a charitable donation to NYA please click the Canadahelps.org logo below or contact Rebecca Bisson, toll free at 1-866-212-2307, or by email at rebecca@nya.ca.

Our 2013 Group:

Did you know that you can now donate your Aeroplan Miles to NYA? One of the great things about the NYA program is that participants do not need to pay for their travel costs, but travel costs represent one of our most significant expenses. Through the Aeroplan program you can now donate accumulated miles to NYA!

All donated miles will be used to help selected participants travel to and from their summer placements and for other program related purposes.
